2025 EU VISA REQUIREMENTS
IMPORTANT: Please read all information provided below regarding new visa requirements for American/Canadian travellers to Europe expected for 2025.
The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in mid-2025. The ETIAS is a new entry requirement for visa-free/foreign travelers entering European countries for short stays (up to 90 days in any 180-day period). It's designed to improve security and simplify border checks.
The ETIAS is expected to launch six months after the Entry-Exit System (EES) becomes operational.
What does the application entail:
Travelers must apply for ETIAS using an online portal before their trip. The application requires:
Personal data
Passport data
Destination within the EU
General background information
A fee of €7, waived for travelers under age 18, or over age 70
Recommended Airports Nearest Wedding Venue:
Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR)- (30 Minutes by car to venue)
Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)- (4 hours by car to venue or 2 Hour train ride to Florence but transportation from train station to venue is required)
